Getting here:
Public transportation: Campus is easily accessible from the UIC-Halsted station on the CTA Blue line. It is about a 10-minute walk to our building from the UIC-Halsted station. If walking isn't a good option, the Halsted bus (#8) stops right in front of the station and can bring you to Taylor & Halsted.
Driving: There are a few parking options near our building. The cheapest is probably street parkingon Roosevelt, but parking spaces can be scarce during the semester. The closest option is campus parking lot #5 (see UIC parking map here), which can be accessed from Morgan Street just south of Taylor Street. There is also a parking garage (HLPS) on Halsted Street, just north of Taylor Street. Parking rates on campus start at $4.50 for the first 1/2 hour.
To find my office (after arriving at 845 W. Taylor):
Science and Engineering South (SES) is a bit of a maze and there are two different parts of the building (east and west). My office is in the eastern part of the building. The main entrance to the building will bring you to the 2nd floor. Once inside the building, walk past the women's bathroom, straight up the stairs, across the rotunda, and up the next set of stairs. You should now be on the 3rd floor. Continue walking straight past the men's bathroom and in through the double doors. You should see purple columns along the hall. Walk straight to the end of the hall and follow the hall to the right. Walk until the hall turns to the right again; my office is room 3346 in that corner.
To find the lab:
The lab is in the same building and quadrant as my office. Follow the instructions above until you enter the hall with the purple columns. Instead of walking straight to reach my office, turn right immediately after passing through the double doors. The lab is room 3326 and will be on your right side.
